20%, 40%, 60% Carbon Fiber Doctor Blade for Paper Machine
Basic Info.
Due to fluctuating and extreme temperatures, plastic-molded products such asnylonand UHMW age over time, resulting in bowing, twisting and warping of the structure. Aluminum extrusions also experience warp, as it is impossible to alleviate stress after the final machining process. This stress eventually causes the material to twist, making it impossible to produce an even wipe across the anilox. Consequently, product rejection is massively increased with inevitable delays. By comparison, woven carbon fiber is unaffected by variations or extremes in temperature; consistent doctoring is maintained regardless of the harsh environment in which the unit operates.
ADVANTAGES
Easy to clean:the carbon fibre is coated with a resin with excellent antistatic properties in order to very easily remove any ink. As a result, cleaning the chambered doctor blade is very quick and easy. This will also lead to a considerable reduction in the use of water when washing the ink circuit.
Anti-corrosion:carbon fibre is not subject to any type of corrosion caused by water based inks, solvents and glues. It offers the best resistance against corrosion in long term.
Light structure:carbon fibre is 70% lighter than aluminium.

Tips
Correct positioning of the blade is essential: if it's positioned too close to the anilox roll, or at the wrong angle, it will accelerate wear of both the blade and the anilox.
