Tungsten Carbide Hard Facing Coatings Processing Flow
 
1. Surface preparation
Before polishing the tungsten carbide coating, the surface of the material needs to be prepared first. This includes the removal of impurities, rusts and oxides to ensure that the tungsten carbide coating adheres firmly to the surface of the material.
 
2. Coating preparation
After the surface preparation is complete, a tungsten carbide coating is formed on the surface of the material by physical vapor deposition (PVD) technology or chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technology. PVD technology vaporizes or sputters tungsten carbide onto the surface of the material by evaporation or sputtering to form a dense coating. The CVD technology creates a tungsten carbide coating on the surface of the material by thermal decomposition of a pre-mixed chemical gas in the gas phase.
 
3. Polishing process
The polishing process of tungsten carbide coating is mainly achieved through the action of mechanical force and abrasive. When polishing, the coating is processed in accordance with the order and rules set by using appropriate polishing materials and tools. The mechanical force causes a relative movement between the abrasive and the coating, and the abrasive particles cut and wear on the surface of the coating, thus achieving a polishing effect.
 
4. Surface treatment
After the coating polishing is completed, a certain surface treatment is also required to improve the optical properties and corrosion resistance of the material. Common surface treatment methods include polishing, grinding and chemical treatment.
