Description Of Multi Media Filter

Multi media filters use one or more filter media to effectively remove suspended impurities in water under a certain pressure,

thereby clarifying the water. Commonly used filter materials include quartz sand, anthracite, manganese sand, etc.,

which are mainly used for water treatment, turbidity removal, water softening, and pure water pretreatment.

The turbidity of the effluent can reach below 3 degrees.

Features Of Shallow Sand Filter

1.Shallow sand filter use a single medium, usually quartz sand. They have a relatively shallow filter bed, and as water flows through the sand layer,

  suspended solids are trapped, achieving a filtering effect.

2.These filters have relatively low filtration accuracy compare with multi sand filters and suitable for removing larger suspended solids such as sand

  and algae.

3.They have a simple structure, low operating and maintenance costs, and suitable for scenarios with large water volumes but less stringent water

  quality requirements.

Applications Of Shallow Sand Filters

1.Agricultural irrigation: Used to remove sediment and suspended solids from water sources, protecting irrigation equipment.

2.Recirculating water systems: Suitable for applications such as cooling water and swimming pools where high filtration precision is not required.

3.Pre-treatment stage: Used as a pre-filter in multi-stage filtration systems to reduce the load on subsequent equipment.
